Mountain biking and bicycle tours

 

Excellent amenities for mountain bikers: the "Schaeffler MTB Arena" in Sasbachwalden  covers many facets of mountain biking, taking in a host of circuits and  facilities. The 3.3 km "Alpirsbach Black Forest Trail“ begins just a few hundred meters from 'Chalet Bergweide'.

This is a flowtrail, which will be an exciting prospect for experienced mountain bikers. Beginners can also use it, omitting the more difficult parts.

There is also a reverse pump track, built by MTB pro Nico Vink together with the local MTB club.

There are plenty of options for traditional bicycle trips, too. All hiking tracks with a minimum width of 2 m are open for bicycles, including in the national park.

​

You can park your bicycles in the cottage's own garage, which is at your disposal. It also has a facility for charging e-bikes overnight.
